Engineering Seamless Experiences Through Hardware and iOS Innovation

Ferdinand Lunardy
Apple Teacher Swift Playgrounds

I am a Computer Engineering graduate and Alumni of the Apple Developer Academy @ BINUS Tangerang Cohort 8, familiar with SwiftUI, UIKit, Combine, MVVM, TCA, Firebase, etc. To build efficient performance, user-centric mobile solutions.

My experiences span from microcontroller-based prototypes to real-time iOS solutions, driven by a deep curiosity to bridge hardware and software into seamless, intelligent systems.

Currently, I am a Master's student at the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (台科大), where I am a member of the Low Power Laboratory. Under the guidance of my advising professor, my research is centered on IoT and Low Power systems. In addition to my academic research, I am actively managing an ongoing technical project, further deepening my expertise in smart, connected technologies within Taiwan’s tech ecosystem.

Logic Lab Circuit

[Solo Project] Logic Lab Circuit is an interactive iOS application, now available on the App Store, designed to help early computer engineering learners visualize and understand the core principles of digital logic. The app provides real-time simulations of fundamental logic gates (AND, OR, NOT, XOR) and demonstrates how they combine to perform binary operations in circuits like the Full Adder and Full Subtractor. Future updates will introduce multiplication and division modules to further enhance the learning experience.

[Industrial Partnership Project] The primary objective of this project was to ideate, design, and prototype an iOS solution that addresses key user pain points and business needs in navigation within the Female Daily platform. Through agile, one-month sprint cycles, we moved rapidly from early concept sketches to High-Fidelity UI prototypes and a functional iOS app prototype. Not for production, but as a proof of concept to demonstrate our design thinking and technical capabilities. No App Store link available.

[Industry Skills Project] The primary business goal of this project was to drive user acquisition by designing a proof-of-concept iOS app that simplifies group trip planning. The app, CocoLemon, addresses key user pain points like repetitive questions and disorganized activity selection by providing a collaborative group form and customizable activity packages. Developed within a three-week sprint from July 7 to July 28, 2025, the solution enables a planner to create a trip, invite contributors, and manage preferences seamlessly. The functional prototype was built using UIKit and CoreData, demonstrating a complete solution aimed at increasing organic downloads and gaining active users.

Kimo

[Final Project] Kimo is an interactive iPadOS application that helps parents and children explore their feelings together through storytelling and play. Addressing the lack of meaningful parent-child interaction in existing media, Kimo serves as a structured tool for nurturing emotional intelligence in children aged 3-5 utilizing RULER Framework from Yale Center SEL (Social Emotional Learning) Specialists. The app features immersive story modules, breathing exercises, and creative play activities designed to foster empathy and quality time between parents and children. To ensure inclusivity, Kimo was implemented a robust localization architecture, enabling a fully native experience in English, Indonesian, and Chinese (Traditional & Simplified).
